VICTORY MARCH TOOK PLACE IN CHISINAU, ITS PARTICIPANTS MARCHED THROUGH STREETS IN TWO DIFFERENT COLUMNS

On Thursday, a Victory March took place in Chisinau. It was organized by the public committee "Victory".

The participants of the event marched from the center of Chisinau to the Memorial Complex "Eternity" in two different columns. At the head of the first column were deputies of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, leaders of the Party of Socialists, including Igor Dodon with his wife and three sons. The youngest son was dressed in the uniform of a Red Army soldier. Near the Memorial, the leader of the Party of Communists, Vladimir Voronin, and his wife joined the column.

When forming the column in the center of Chisinau, the leaders of the parties "Chance", "Renaissance" and other activists of the recently created in Moscow bloc "Victory" wanted to join the marchers. However, the organizers did not allow them to join the column. For this reason, supporters of the fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor went in another column. At the Memorial they had to wait for the participants of the first column to lay flowers. At the same time, some deputies from the former “Shor” party went together with deputies from the Bloc of Communist and Socialist.

Participants of both columns marched with red flags and flags of the Republic of Moldova to military marches. They sang songs of the war years and chanted slogans: "Victory!", "Thanks to grandfather for victory!", "Victory means peace!", "May 9 - Victory Day!". Despite the ban, many participants of the march, including members of parliament, wore the "St. George ribbon".

Throughout the march, the column was accompanied by carabinieri and police officers, who were also on duty at intersections and ensured public order. The police also ensured the car rally organized by the public in honor of Victory Day. About a hundred cars, including vintage cars, took part in the rally through the streets of Chisinau.
