​ETHNO-BALKAN FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN MOLDOVA FOR THE FIRST TIME

Ethno-Balkan festival will be held for the first time in Moldova on August 16-17.

The festival will be organized in the ethno-cultural center “Vatra” in 32 km from Chisinau. In addition to the national performers, guests from Romania, Germany, Austria, Croatia and Serbia will participate in it.

Participants will present their national costumes, music, dances and cuisine. In addition, the organizers are preparing surprises, such as the performance of the Sidski Trubaci orchestra from Serbia, where Milan Milosevi plays the trumpet.

Argatu and Ad Hoc from Romania, Sidski Trubaсi, Tharmis orchestra from Moldova, soloists Inna Bondari and Dina Ratri from Moldova, ensembles Dor Basarabean and Toporkestra from Ukraine will appear before the footlights on the first day.

On the second day the audience will see ensemble Subcarpati, brass band Zece Prаjini (Shukar) and folk band Burdon from Ukraine as well as the Tharmis orchestra from Moldova.

In addition, collection of audio-visual equipment - 400 TVs and radios produced in 1924-1990 will be presented on the festival for the first time in Moldova. Also, visitors can look at the collection of Moldova historical flags, and ancient musical instruments.

The festival starts at 11 a.m. The cost of ticket for one day is 50 lei, for two days – 80 lei. The tickets can be bought via internet and at the entrance of the complex.

To get to the festival, you can use specially prepared for this transport, which will travel from Green Hills store on the Calea Iesilor street to the “Vatra” complex and back.
