​MARTISOR MUSICAL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN MOLDOVA

The international musical festival “Martisor”, organized by the Culture Ministry together with the Culture Ministry and partners will be held in Moldova on March 1-10.

Culture Minister Monica Babuc said at the Friday’s press conference that singers from 10 countries – Switzerland, Italy, China, Russia, the USA, Great Britain, Romania, Poland, Germany, Belarus – will participate in the festival.

Among festival participants there are also: orchestra conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivacov (Russia), conductor Leondardo Quardini (Italy), conductor Alexander Anisimov (Belarus), singer Andrian Jilihovschi, violinist Alexandra Cononova and drummer Oleg Baltaga (Moldova), the national popular dance academic ensemble “Joc”, the national popular music academic orchestra “Lautarii”, song and popular dance ensemble “Fluieras”, popular music orchestra “Folclor”, National chamber choir “Doina”, Concertino-Band ensemble, Romanian musical bands “Holograf” and “Trei Sud Est”.

Also, artists of the Chinese Opera Tianjin from Beijing, as well as Polish conductor Monica Wolinska and soloist Tadeusz Domanowski will perform together with the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova.

In total, 48 performances will be demonstrated, 22 of which – in Chisinau and 26 – in different country raions.

The festival will be held in Chisinau Organ Hall, the National Palace, the National Opera and Ballet Theater, the National Philharmonic. Prices on concerts vary from 50 to 1 thousand lei. For conducting festival, more than 1.6 million lei were spent, a part of which are due to sponsors.
