EDUCATION MINISTRY TO HELP PEDAGOGUES IN TEACHING ROMANIAN LANGUAGE ABROAD

The Education Ministry of Moldova is conducting a seminar for compatriots from abroad, who are teaching Romanian language to children from Moldovan Diaspora, on June 21-25.

Representative of the Bureau for Ties with Diaspora Inna Televca said that the seminar is attended by 11 teachers, who are living in Italy, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Ireland, France, Russia and Georgia and are teaching in education centers, opened within the framework of the Diaspora grant program “Engagement Hub”.

They will be working on curriculum in Romanian, which was for the first time elaborated by national experts in agreement with the Education Ministry, the Bureau and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Moldovan office.

“The seminar is aimed at introducing educational program for children from Moldovan Diaspora, to support and develop language, cultural and emotional connection with their motherland – the Republic of Moldova. The program is aimed to help children develop communication skills in Romanian, thus liaising with their parents, relatives and home country”, Televca said.
