MOLDOVAN ATHLETE ALEXANDRA EMELYANOVA BECOME EUROPEAN CHAMPION IN DISCUS THROWING

Moldovan athlete Alexandra Emelyanova became European champion in discus throwing in European Youth Championship in athletics (U-20), which took place in the Italian town Grosseto. President of the Moldovan Athletic Federation Anatoly Balan said that the result of Emylianova is 56 meters and 38 centimeters. There were three more representatives from Moldova: Anastasia Kalinina in women’s triple jump – the 8th place, Alexander Oleynik and Denis Picus in the final of javelin took the 9th and 11th place respectively.
