​TRANSNISTRIAN MUSICAL BAND TO REPRESENT MOLDOVA AT EUROVISION 2018

Musical band DoReDoS from Ribnita won the national selection contests for Eurovision 2018 and will represent Moldova at the international song contest in Lisbon (Spain) this year.

The singers will perform the song “My Lucky Day”, written for them by Russian singer Filipp Kirkorov. On Saturday he personally came from Moscow to support his proteges.

DoReDoS vocalists – Marina Djundiet, Eugen Andrianov and Sergey Mita graduated from the Chisinau Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts, participated in many contests. Their greatest achievement is the victory at the contest “New Wave” in Sochi (Russia), where they participated with the support of President Igor Dodon.

The Head of the State awarded the band with titles “Moldova’s Honored Artist”, while their producer Valeriu Djundiet was awarded with the medal “For civil services”, promising to continue supporting the band.

This year, singers and bands from 42 countries will participate in the Eurovision. The Moldovan band will perform in the second semifinal, which will take place on May 10.

In 2017, Moldova was presented by the band SunStroke Project, which took the 3rd place with the song “Hey Mamma”. This is Moldova’s best result over the entire time of participation in this contest since 2005.
