URBAN MOBILITY HACKATHON DECLARES WINNERS

Ion Mosnoi and Vasile Catan were declared winners in the “Urban Mobility Hackathon” contest of developers in Chisinau and were awarded $4 thousand each.

For optimizing the work of public transport and road traffic, they developed the concept with using of machine learning [using of artificial intelligence]. The concept proposes a new route for the trolleybus 22, which may be tested in the nearest time.

Besides, the winners got the possibility of free internship in the Orange Systems.

Teams, which took the 2nd and the 3rd places got fitness trackers and headphones. All the three teams also received free access to services of the Orange mobile operator for a period of 2 years.

The hackathon was organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Moldova, the Orange Systems, the European Space Agency and the Chisinau Primaria.
