EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS TO BE HELD IN MOLDOVA IN NEW FORMAT
The days of European heritage in Moldova, which start on Monday, will be held because of the pandemic in a new format, the Ministry of Education announced this at a press conference.
Svetlana Pociumban, head of the ministry's culture department, said that the festival will focus on national heritage. During the week, a group of volunteers will visit nine localities in six districts of RM, where they will hold improvement actions and tell local residents about the European heritage.
On October 4, on Moldova 1 TV channel will take stock the results of the campaign.
Minister Igor Sarov said that "actions to promote cultural heritage should be held every day."
"For this purpose, the school program "Opening Moldova" has been created for students of 10-12 grades who will study the history of cultural heritage," he said.
Every year in September, 50 countries signatories to the European Cultural Convention (of 1954) celebrate European heritage days.
