CONTEST “QUEEN OF WINE” TO BE HELD IN MOLDOVA

On October 3, the contest “Queen of Wine 2014” will be held for the first time in Moldova in partnership with The National Vine and Wine Office.

According to organizers, the contest aims to choose a young woman, who will contribute to Moldovan wines promotion on different national and international events during a year.

For the title of Wine Queen in the final stage of the contest 11 participants will fight, who will have to show themselves in national costumes and evening gown, in artistic creativity, as well as answer questions from the field of winemaking.

In the contest may participate women of 18-27 years old, not less than 170 cm in height, with good proficiency of English language.

The winner of the contest will be awarded with money prize and will sign a contract on promoting Moldovan wines abroad during a year.

Election of Wine Queen is a long-standing tradition in the European countries. In Germany, for example, it is organized every year for already 65 years.
