SUDZUCKER MOLDOVA CELEBRATES ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF PRESENCE IN MOLDOVA

26 may, 2016

Over 15 years of activity in the Moldovan market, the Sudzucker Moldova invested over 8 million euros in creation of its own development and production enterprise Agro SZM, which cultivates sugar beet on over 9 thousand ha of land.

"Agro SZM has a fleet of modern agricultural machinery, which includes over 40 large cars and harvesters from leading European producers", the press release says.

The Sudzucker Moldova provides to agricultural partners financial assistance at their buying of more than 60 units of highly efficient agriculture machinery - combines, beet loaders, tractors, irrigation, seeding and spraying machines.

"Through its financial agent "Agro-Credit", the company is annually offering credits worth tens of millions of lei to sugar beet farms", the press release said.

Also, Sudzucker Moldova invested almost 10 million euros in special projects, the largest of which is the Green Energy Project.

"Within this project, a facility, which produces 8.5 million cubic meters of biogas per year from sugar beet pulp, was installed in the Drochia factory. It allows covering 20% of the factory's gas needs. The biogas is also used in two cogeneration installations with capacity of 1.2 MWh each, which supply electricity to the Drochia town energy system", the document says.

The biogas installation is Moldova's largest supplier of Green Energy. Its by-product is 50 thousand tons of fertile digestate slime - a precious organic fertilizer for agriculture. Another by-product is hot water, which is used for heating the factory facilities, as well as serves as a heat carrier with a capacity of 200-400 tons per 24 hrs, used for drying grain.
