​IGOR DODON STARTS FORMING PRESIDENTIAL ECONOMIC COUNCIL

Moldovan President Igor Dodon has begun forming an Economic Council to function under the auspices of the head of state, Presidential Political Adviser and Press Secretary Ion Ceban announced on line on Friday.

According to him, the new body, to work on a voluntary basis, will be revealing and preventing risks to the development of the national economy as a whole and to its concrete sectors, and will be assessing programs and results of the implementation of economic reforms.

“The Presidential Economic Council will be also working out proposals for resolving existing economic problems, perfecting the country’s economic policy and its implementation instruments to ensure a sustainable development and modernization of the Moldovan economy”, Ion Ceban wrote on his page in social networks.

Persons willing to work in the Presidential Economic Council (enterprise directors, experts, trade union leaders, heads of business associations etc.) are welcome to send in their letters of intentions to www.e.gorelova@prm.md before February 14.

Moldova’s first Presidential Economic Council ceased its existence in 2001 upon the election of Chairman of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin as President of Moldova.
