ODIMM PROVIDES FINANCING TO 25 MORE ENTREPRENEURS

The Program on Attracting Remittances into the Economy PARE 1+1 will provide 5.85 million lei to implementation of projects to 25 entrepreneurs. Corresponding contracts were signed on Friday in the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development of Moldova (ODIMM).

According to the organization, the beneficiaries' own contribution will account for 16 million lei, they will create 74 jobs. 11 entrepreneurs are gastarbeiters, who returned home, while the rest are close relatives of those, who went abroad in search of a better life.

Most of grant beneficiaries (18) plan to invest in agriculture, including in cultivating grain, grapes, plums, nuts, vegetables, as well as in animal husbandry. Three intend to organize the production of furniture, footwear, bakery goods, while four - to engage in delivering services, in particular in the field of education and fitness.

In January-October, the ODIMM signed 152 contracts on providing 30 million lei, which will allow attracting 97.5 million lei to the economy. The PARE 1+1 budget in 2017 is 40 million lei.

Infotag's dossier: PARE 1+1 Program was launched in 2010 for a period of 5 years, while then the Government extended it till 2018. It is designed for migrant workers and/or their relatives of first degree of consanguinity, who want to invest and/or start their own business. It implies the providing of money for opening or developing personal business in the home country on the basis of 1 leu per each invested leu, but not more than 200 thousand lei. However, lately the state investment is three-fold smaller than the novice entrepreneurs' own contribution.
