CURRENT GOVERNMENT IS TARGETED AT MAKING EUROPEAN INTEGRATION COURSE IRREVERSIBLE - PREMIER FILIP

Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova Julia Monar, saying that the main goal of his Government is to make irreversible the European integration course of Moldova until the end of its mandate.

At the meeting, he said that the Moldovan authorities are determined to change the state of things in the country.

According to the message, the stakeholders exchanged the opinions about the results of the recent Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels. Pavel Filip thanked Julia Monar for contribution to organizing meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as pointed at the enhancement of the high-level dialog and the bilateral relations.

The sides also discussed the events in the process of regulating the Transnistrian conflict. Prime Minister stressed that Germany has always supported Moldovan authorities, including on the OSCE platform.

In her turn, Julia Monar pointed that this progress demonstrates that Moldova is fulfilling its promises and intends to take concrete steps in the process of strengthening trust between residents of the two sides of the Dniester River.

She appreciated economic results, the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and signing of a package of documents on providing macro-financial assistance to Moldova.
