FAO TO IMPLEMENT TWO AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN MOLDOVA

A group of UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) experts arrived to Moldova for implementing two projects on strengthening the agriculture and rural area development policy, as well as on supporting berry producers.

According to the FAO Office in Moldova, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, as well as the interested organizations and the arrived experts formed a working group, which will engage in project implementation.

At the working group sitting, the work on selecting localities in which a special plan for rural area development should be implemented. Within the second project, tutorials and other materials for strengthening the possibilities of small berry producers will be developed.

Moldova and FAO concluded agreements on these projects with the total budget of US$800 thousand in November 2017. These should be implemented until the end of 2019.
