VERONICA HERTA LEAVES POST OF APA-CANAL DIRECTOR

Veronica Herta wrote on her Facebook page that her letter of resignation from the post of Apa-Canal municipal water/sewage company was satisfied at the enterprise general meeting on Tuesday.

"I have never grasped at my post. This is beneath my dignity. Neither I plan to go on sick leave", she wrote, expressing satisfaction that over 1.5 years in the post of director she managed to bring the enterprise to life and resume the project [rehabilitation of city water supply and sanitation systems].

She also expressed joy about the launching of several projects on ensuring more quality services and about returning hope in employee's eyes.

The company board appointed Valeriu Mesca as new Apa-Canal Director. He graduated from the mechanical faculty of Technical University. He is former head of the state enterprise "Chisinau Glass Factory" (2005-2016). In 2011 he was decorated with the Labor Glory Order, despite great problems at the enterprise he headed.

At the general Apa-Canal board sitting, the decisions on other shuffles in the company leadership.

Ex-director of the Chisinau municipal finance department Veronica Herta was appointed to the post of Apa-Canal in September 2016. She replaced Constantin Becciev, who was dismissed for the violations identified by the Accounts Chamber. In early May, Becciev was acquitted by court.
