PARE 1+1 PROGRAM GRANTS 18 BUSINESSMEN 4.5 MILLION LEI FOR PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

The PARE 1+1 program on money attraction to the economy will provide 18 businessmen 4.5 million lei for project implementation.

This is provided by grant contracts signed between the beneficiaries and the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development of Moldova (ODIMM). According to these contracts 11.4 million lei of investments will be attracted to the economy and 49 new jobs will be created.

According to the ODIMM, 13 new production will be opened in the field of agriculture (grain growing, grape growing, laying out a plum garden, livestock and beekeeping); three – in the food industry; two – services provision (milling, storage of fruits and vegetables).

One beneficiary is from Chisinau, other three have opened their own business in the Singerei Raion, two in the Calarasi Raion as well as in the Cimislia, Hincesti and Nisporeni Raions, one in each of the raions of Dubasari, Falesti, Floresti, Rezina, Straseni and Riscani Raions.

For this purposes they used funds received from Russia, Greece, Israel, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the United States.

Since the beginning of the year, 92 enterprises have been approved for financing through the program PARE 1+1 in the amount of 22.13 million lei, which attracted investments in the economy in the amount of 58.33 million lei.

Infotag’s dossier: The program PARE 1+1 was launched in 2010 for five years; then it was extended up to 2018. The program is intended for gastarbeiters and/or their relatives of the first degree kinship who wish to invest and/or start a business. The program provides them with money to start or develop their own business in their homeland. Initially, the Government promised 1 leu for each invested lei.

More than 1.2 thousand enterprises have already used the assistance provided by the program. Their contribution to the economy nears 800 million lei; almost a third of them are program grants. Thus, the Government allocated 1 leu for 3 lei invested by the beneficiaries.
