GOVERNMENT EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR REFUNDING VAT FOR SOME EXPORTERS

The Government extended the list of exporting companies, who got longer period for refunding the VAT at importing raw materials and spare parts. From now on, the companies ASSEMBLIES EST, Monistar and TUCANO COFFEE will have 180 days to do this.

The extension of the deadline for VAT refunding concerns customs payments as well. Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici reminded that companies, which have production facilities, oriented on exporting goods and services, may rely on extending the term of VAT refunding and customs duties payment. Also, these economic agents should have no arrears to the budget.

"Currently, the list of enterprises which got extension of the deadline for VAT refunding and duties payment, includes 29 companies", the Minister said, supposing that not all companies engaged in exporting goods and services know about such a benefit.

According to the Customs Service, around 1450 Moldovan economic agents were engaged in exporting activities in 2017. The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure maintain that at meeting certain conditions, all of them will have the possibility to benefit from privileges at VAT refunding and customs duties payment at importing raw materials and spare parts for producing goods for exporting.
