PROVIDING OF CITIZENSHIP FOR INVESTMENTS WILL HAVE A POSITIVE EFFECT

The program on granting Moldovan citizenship to foreign citizens in exchange for investments in the economy is an instrument which will soon demonstrate positive influence on the national economy, maintains Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici.

At the Thursday's meeting with representatives of the Henley & Partners Company, which was selected for implementing this program, he said that the program is aimed at getting new revenues which will later be transformed into services and projects for the good of all Moldova's citizens.

At the meeting, the process of program fulfillment was discussed, as well as the adopted measures and plans in order that all the instruments and mechanisms for efficient work to be ready by the beginning of November.

According to the minister, the favorable impact of the program will be felt both by its participants and the entire population of Moldova.

"The attracted funds will be directed to the Public Investment Fund, while from there - to local projects of strategic importance for country development", he said.

As Infotag has already reported, the government approved the mechanism of applying the Program of receiving Moldovan citizenship by means of investments. The document includes the structure of the Program, technical processes and legislative changes, procedures and questionnaires, detailed requirements and formal procedures, which should be introduced in normative acts with establishing of clear time frames of implementation.
