MOLDOVA TO TAKE COURSE FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION

The draft National Strategy of Moldova Industrialization 2019-2020 was presented in the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, the document the Government has to adopt is directed to raising the branch competitiveness and productiveness, development of small and medium enterprises, the attraction of investments and export promotion.

Ministry State Secretary Vitalie Iurcu said at the sitting of inter-agency group that the measures proposed in the document concern all the branches of economy for attracting investments to them. Among priorities there are: support to production of quality export-oriented products that meet European standards, as well as the implementation of innovative technologies.

According to Minister Chiril Gaburici, the implementation of the strategy will allow creating new jobs for qualified personnel, establish the production of goods with high value added, raising the budget deductions, the profit and the enterprise profitability, developing the business environment.

Document developers pointed that the previous strategy, designed till 2015, did not give sufficient attention to the development of industrial production in all sectors. Thus, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ Moldova, a new, single document of policies for all the branches of economy by means of state industrialization have been developed.
