18 octomber, 2018

The Moldovan transporters will not need a permit for transit through Turkey anymore. On Wednesday, the Government has approved the signing of a protocol on amending the Moldova-Turkey governmental agreement on international road transport.

The introduction of changes will lead to the fact that the international transportation of goods in bilateral and transit regime will be implemented without transport permits. This, in its turn will allow developing road transportation, exchange of goods and will facilitate traveling for the two countries' citizens. Besides, the liberalization of transportations will raise the competitiveness of economic agents, who are acting in this field, will extend the market and will reduce the exploitation costs.

The initiative on signing the protocol was proposed at the Moldova-Turkey Committee for International Road Transport on May 14, 2018 in Ankara. The document was signed on Wednesday after the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
