MOLDOVA AND QATAR TO SIGN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION IN AGRICULTURE

Moldovan Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Nicolae Ciubuc met with Hamad bin Rashid Al-Athba, ChargГ© d'Affaires ad Interim at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday. They discussed the details of a draft agreement on Moldova-Qatar cooperation in agriculture and environment.

According to the ministry, the sides exchanged opinions concerning the document, which implies economic and technical-scientific cooperation and the opportunities of its implementation.

The minister regards as necessary to unite efforts for stimulating bilateral trade and promoting the Moldovan agricultural goods to the Qatar market.

He proposed to consider the possibility of exporting Moldovan fresh and canned vegetables and fruit to the Qatar market, as well as of attracting investors for implementing Moldova regional development projects in 2017-2020.

The embassy representatives confirmed his country's readiness to deepen the cooperation in the field of agriculture and environment, pointing at the importance of joint projects implementation.
