KAUFLAND TO INVEST OVER 300 MILLION EUROS IN CREATING A TRADE NETWORK IN MOLDOVA

German company Kaufland intends to develop business in Moldova - to invest over 300 million euros and create around 2 thousand jobs. This topic was discussed at the Wednesday's event dedicated to building of the first Kaufland shop in Moldova.

According to the Government, Prime Minister Pavel Filip regarded the arrival of such an authority company to Moldova as a proof that conditions for business in Moldova are favorable and do not give reasons to worry about investments in the country.

"The minimal salary of employees will account for 7500 lei, while 50% of goods will be of domestic origin. This means more trade areas for our goofs here, in Moldova. A healthy competition will ensure to our citizens food of best quality and at a more accessible price", the premier hopes.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger highly appreciated the Moldovan Government's efforts on improving investment climate in Moldova and on improving business climate.

This year, Kaufland started the building of the first three shops in Chisinau. IN future, the network of 20 stores will be extended all across the country. Besides, the company will get its own logistic center.
