ROSSELKHOZNADZOR ALLOWS TWO MOLDOVAN COMPANIES TO SUPPLY SEEDLINGS TO RUSSIA

18 december, 2018

The RosSelKhozNadzor [Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance] allowed two Moldovan companies - Susler Pezsaj and Vitis Cojusna - to supply fruit and grape seedlings to Russia.

According to the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), the permission has been obtained on the basis of the audit, conducted by the Russian Agency experts on October 22-24.

The Russian Service reported that the laboratory analysis of the samples taken during the inspection is still carried out, while the results of products' testing of other companies will be announced later on.

The list of Moldovan nurseries, which have the right to export seedlings to Russia, is not currently available on the RosSelKhozNadzor website. In October 2017, there were 18 Moldovan companies allowed to supply 4 million seedlings to Russia by the end of the year.

The Vitis Cojusna Company was allowed to export most of all, i.e. 735 seedlings (apple, cherry, peach, apricot, plum, walnut and grapes). In 2016, only nine companies from Moldova were able to export seedlings to Russia.
