YOUNG TEACHERS CAN GET JOBS WITHIN 'STATE DISTRIBUTION' WITHIN UP TO THREE YEARS AFTER GRADUATION

Graduates of pedagogical faculties, who want to get a job in the specialty within the system of 'state distribution" and want to thus receive one-time state-provided allowance, will be able to do this within up to three years after graduation, as per the changes adopted by the Government on Wednesday.

Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc stated that the changes have been made to increase the interest of young professionals to work in the field of education, as well as to fill the shortage of teaching staff.

"The project provides for an increase in the number of young professionals who can be employed in state educational institutions on distribution, depending on the state's needs", she said.

According to her, the graduates of pedagogical faculties, who were not employed in the state education system at the time of graduation, will be able to do it on distribution within three years from the date of graduation.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip recalled that last year the one-time allowance for graduates of pedagogical faculties, who are going to work on distribution, was increased up to 120 thousand lei.
