OSCE CALLS ON MOLDOVAN POLITICAL FORCES TO OVERCOME CRISIS THROUGH PEACEFUL DIALOG

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajcak called today on all political forces in the Republic of Moldova to overcome the current political crisis through dialogue.

In his statement, he expresses the opinion that political parties of Moldova should act on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and the respect for democratic principles and the rule of law.

“The OSCE Chairmanship is following the political crisis in the Republic of Moldova with great concern. The citizens of the Republic of Moldova need a political solution to the current crisis and stability to ensure the European path of the country”, the OSCE Head said.

Peaceful dialogue, democracy and rule of law are key for preventing tensions from escalating, he added.
