DIRECT INVESTMENTS TO MOLDOVA GREW US$74 MILLION IN 2019
The volume of direct investments in the Moldovan economy reached US$2.01 billion as of January 1, 2020, which is US$74 million more than in 2018.
These data are cited by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), demonstrating a sustainable trend of investment growth during 2019: 1Q2019 - US$1,939 million; 2Q - US$1,928 million; 3Q - US$1,964 million.
These revenues of direct foreign investments to the Moldovan economy demonstrate that over the last 10 years, their rate demonstrated permanent growth trend.
In 2009 the investments reached US$1,135 million; in 2010 - US$1,136 million; 2011 - US$1,368 million; 2012 - US$1,514 million; 2013 - US$1,684 million; 2014 - US$1,794 million; 2015 - US$1,796 million; 2016 - US$1,734 million; 2017 - US$1,841 million; 2018 - US$1,936 million and in 2019 - US$2,011 million.
Over this period, the largest volume of investments in economy was made in 2013, when their sum grew US$170 million, while the smallest growth worth US$2 million accounted for 2015.
