BUDGET SITUATION IS COMPLICATED BUT CONTROLLABLE, PREMIER CHICU SAYS

The situation of the Moldovan State Budget is quite complicated, but controllable, believes Prime Minister Ion Chicu.

He wrote in social networks that the Budget situation is improving, and offered the following comparison: this past April, Budget revenues shrank by 960 million lei (minus 31.3%) against April 2019, and in May the fall figure was thrice smaller than in May 2019 – by 307 million lei, or minus 10.7%.

And over the first 5 months of the current year the backlog amounted to 829.8 million lei, or minus 5.6% against the previous year, wrote Ion Chicu.

“But by other components of the national budget, the aggregate growth of incomes marked 430 million lei. So, the difference between the aggregate incomes in January-May 2020 against the equivalent period in the previous year makes 400 million lei”, wrote the Premier.
