INVESTMENTS IN MOLDOVAN LONG-TERM ASSETS INCREASE BY 10.2% IN 2019

The volume of investments in long-term assets of Moldova increased in 2019 by 10.2% (in comparable prices) - exceeding 31.253 billion lei (US $ 1.838 billion).

These are the new data of the National Bureau of Statistics. In February, it reported that the growth of investments amounted to 9.4%, and their total volume - to 27.8 billion lei.

According to new calculations, the most investments fell on equipment and machinery - 8.949 billion lei, which is 6.7% more than in 2018, as well as the construction of non-residential buildings - 5.975 billion lei (+ 5.1%).

The main part of investments was made by the private sector at the expense of its own funds - 19.461 billion lei (+ 12.2%). In second place, with a large margin, go appropriations from the state budget - 2.808 billion (-5.7%). And the inflow of investments from abroad increased by 20.5% and exceeded 1.790 billion lei.
