​MOLDOVAGAZ PROPOSES ANRE TO REDUCE AVERAGE GAS PRICE BY 7.6%

JSC Moldovagaz proposed to the regulator to revise the regulated tariffs and prices for natural gas for the fourth quarter. As press service of Moldovagaz informed, the company's specialists' calculations show that the average tariff for natural gas, based on the existing methodology, should be 4083 lei per thousand cubic meters, or by 7.6% lower than the existing 4 420 (excluding VAT).

Earlier, the chairman of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, announced his intention to reduce the average tariff, explaining this by a decrease in the purchase price for gas to US $ 100-115 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Tariffs and regulated gas prices were last revised in March 2018, when they decreased on average by 20.3%. At that time, the gas tariff for thermal power plants and boiler houses decreased from 5000 to 4018 lei per thousand cubic meters, for household consumers (up to 30 cubic meters) - from 5892 to 4705 lei, and over - from 6138 to 4895 lei (all tariffs are excluding VAT 8 %, the rate taken as a basis - 17.68 lei for US $ 1).
