MOLDOVA AND CHINA INCREASE COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF FOOD TRADE

28 january, 2021

The National Food Safety Agency (NFSA) and the General Administration of Customs of China have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of import, export and food safety.

As the NFSA press service told Infotag, the general director of the department Vladislav Cotici said after signing that “the document would strengthen bilateral cooperation and promote the development of trade between the countries.”

“The implementation of the agreement will create conditions for strengthening trust between the sides in terms of protecting the health of the population, animals and plants in both territories,” he said.

The document says that the competent authorities of both countries will join forces to develop appropriate documents on inspection and quarantine requirements.

“We intend to organize various bilateral meetings to exchange experience at the personnel and technical level. It is very important to communicate and consult on the requirements for the import and export of food products, as well as on the process of notification of applied standards or low-quality products,” Cotici said.
