TARLEV’S ASSOCIATION INITIATES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR NEXT TWELVE YEARS

The National Association of Commodity Producers has stood up with an initiative to work out a program of Moldova’s development for a period ending in 2020. Association Chairman, ex-Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Tarlev stated at a news conference in Infotag today the Program will be elaborated jointly with other public organizations and adopted at a special forum before the end of 2008. Invitations to take part in the works were sent also to profiled state structures.

SERGIU MOCANU WHILE HIS SONS ARE DEMANDING TO BRING CHARGES AGAINST THEM

Sergiu Mocanu’s sons, Roman and Adrian, are demanding to file charges against them officially and to submit their case to the court. At the news conference in Infotag today, Mocanu read out their statement, in which they expressed a wish to have their case in the court, where they could provide all details of what happened to them.

The Agro-Lukka Transnistrian company from Rybnitsa offers highest-quality agricultural machinery, produced in the USA, Germany, Italy and Russia, to Moldovan farmers. Deputy Director of the enterprise Valentin Shkiba said at a news conference in Infotag on Friday that the company is an official dealer of the Krone company (Germany) – fodder procuring machinery; the Great Plains (USA) – sowing machinery, sprayers, soil cultivators, the Сapellio (Italy) – machines for harvesting maize and sunflower; the Case (США) – truck machines, harvesters, loaders; BDM-AGRO (Russia) – soil cultivators.

CUM LEADER VASILE TARLEV OPENS HIS OWN WEBSITE

The former Moldovan Prime Minister and currently the Chairman of the Centrist Union of Moldova (CUM), Vasile Tarlev, has opened his own website in the Internet, www.tarlev.md. Tarlev told a news conference in Infotag today he had decided to open his website in order to be closer to residents of Moldova.

FORMER PRESIDENTIAL ADVISER DEMANDS SECURITY FOR HIS SONS

The “New Moldova” citizens’ organization views the Republic of Moldova’s future in its would-be federative structure, and mainland Moldova, Transnistria and Gagauzia must eventually become the subjects of such future federative state, the organization’s leaders told a news conference in Infotag today.

EX-ADVISOR DOES NOT BELIEVE IN FAST TRANSNISTRIAN CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

Sergiu Mocanu, the leader of the Popular Action Movement and former Adviser-at-Large to President Vladimir Voronin, is convinced it is impossible to solve the Transnistria problem in the nearest future, despite the restarted negotiation process between Chisinau and Tiraspol. Mocanu convened a news conference in Infotag today, at which he offered an opinion that the Transnistria conflict could, theoretically, be settled if Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov is replaced with Chairman of the region’s supreme soviet [parliament] Yevgeny Shevchuk. DAAC-HERMES HOLDING VICE-PRESIDENT IGOR SERBINSCHI SAID IN HIS INTERVIEW WITH INFOTAG

DAAC-Hermes Holding Vice-President Igor Serbinschi said in his interview with Infotag that in 2007 the DAAC-Hermes enterprises had achieved a car sales growth by 41% against 2006. According to his forecasts, in 2008 the car sales volume should grow up by another 40%, as a minimum. DAAC-Hermes views considerable perspectives in a more accessible leasing mechanism. Sergiu Mocanu, the leader of the Popular Action socio-political movement, has offered Speaker Marian Lupu to quit the ruling Communist Party and join the opposition. On Tuesday, the Popular Action leadership organized a news conference in Infotag, during which Sergiu Mocanu read out the movement’s address to Lupu, saying that “your place is not in the President Vladimir Voronin’s team”.
