MICB HEAD REGARDS CHARGES AGAINST BANK AS UNJUSTIFIED

27 november, 2015

Chairman of the Moldindconbank Board Leonid Talmaci called unjustified the accusations of money laundering, spread in press, against the bank.

The authoritative banker wrote an article, entitled “Envy as an incurable disease”, where he presented the facts of a successful development of the MICB, which demonstrate the reputation of a reliable financial institution.

As for financial transactions of the bank, which are regarded by some people as bank’s participation in money laundering, Talmaci says that all of them have been conducted in strict compliance with the Moldovan legislation and normative acts of the National Bank.

“The Moldindconbank was fulfilling court decisions and orders of bailiffs, who are judicially obligatory for any private or public organization in strict compliance with the law”, he wrote, adding that nobody provided any proofs that the money, which has gone through the Moldovan banking system, were received illegally.

The MICB Head classifies the money receipt as an outflow and a moving of financial resources from Russia to the EU countries.

“I am confidently saying this, as I have personally analyzed the situation, so I am sure of this information’s veracity”, Talmaci wrote, pointing at the fact that the MICB has been always timely informing the National Bank and the National Anti-Corruption Center about all the transactions, as it is required in the acting legislation.

Leonid Talmaci says that the true goal of the information attack on the MICB is reduced to an incurable envy of someone, who does not want to make up his mind with successes in bank’s development. He called on everyone to break the silence and cure this envy disease.
