GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL CHEAPENS, LPG – GROWS IN PRICE IN MOLDOVA

29 june, 2016

The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) revised on Tuesday the price ceiling on petroleum products, which will be valid for the next two weeks.

Maximum retail prices on gasoline A95 were lowered to 16.11 from 16.25 lei per liter, diesel fuel – to 14 lei from 14.35 lei. However, the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) grew in price to 7.51 lei from 7.29 lei

The prices were calculated on the basis of international petroleum exchanges’ quotes – Platts for gasoline and diesel, and Argus – for the LPG. Besides, operational costs, connected with importing operations were taken into account at calculation, including the transportation and insurance costs, as well as the excise tax on fuel, the VAT and a special trade mark-up, on the basis of revenues and profit of companies.

Market operators do not have the right to sell by retail the fuel at prices, higher than the maximum, established by the ANRE. New prices will enter into force on Wednesday, June 29 and will be valid through July 12.

In case of exceeding the price ceiling, established by the ANRE, market participants risk to be penalized or even to be deprived of license.
