​NBM EXTENDS TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATION IN MICB

The National Bank of Moldova Executive Committee decided to extend the temporary administration in Moldindconbank for three more months.

The exception was made for Nicolae Dorin, Chairman of the Moldovan Bank Association. The term he was allowed to fulfill the duties of temporary administration, has expired and cannot be extended anymore.

“The Executive Committee will appoint another member later”, says the NBM press release.

The temporary administration regime in MICB was introduced on October 20, 2016 after it declared that bank stockholders, who own 63.89% shares, acted concertedly without NBM’s permit.

The market regulator states in the press release that the Moldindconbank is currently working in its normal regime, opening deposits, servicing accounts and crediting legal and physical persons.
