​MINIMAL MONTHLY WAGE TO GROW TO 2380 LEI IN MOLDOVA

The Government decided to raise the minimal monthly salary/wage size in the real sector of the Moldovan economy to 2380 lei per month (which is 13.3% higher than the current 2100 lei) starting from May 1.

Employers will not be allowed to pay salary less than 14.09 lei per hour. Currently, this sum is 12.43 lei per hour.

The amount of the guaranteed minimal salary is annually revised by the Government in accordance with the law on labor remuneration on the basis of annual growth of consumer price index and is corrected taking into account the tempos of labor productivity at the national level.

At calculating the increment, the 6.4% inflation was taken into account, as well as the labor remuneration 6.9% growth of in 2016.
