​MAIB SHAREHOLDERS POSTPONE PROFIT DISTRIBUTION AND DIVIDEND PAYMENT

Moldova Agroindbank shareholders took into account the National Bank of Moldova recommendations and postponed the distribution of 2016 profit and the payment of dividends util end-September 2017.

The Thursday’s bank stockholders meeting was attended by more than 100 participants who own more than 611 thousand shares with the right of voting which is 66.6%. All this is except the 40.09% package of shares, which currently are put for public sale at the Moldova Stock Exchange.

MAIB Board Chairman Sergiu Cebotari presented to shareholders information concerning the payment of dividends. The bank’s Board of Directors and Administrative Board did not get the NBM permit on dividend payment.

Bank top manager achieved the meeting participants’ consent to restrict to a real term of six months.

“We should not confront the regulator in the situation when this issue just demands shareholders to wait a little with its resolving”, said Cebotari. The bank’s net profit accounted for more than 406 million lei, while capital – 3.2 billion lei.
