The Capital Finance International (CFI) recognized the Moldovan largest financial institution - Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB) as Best Social Impact Bank - Moldova 2017.
According to the bank administration, the award is recognition of MAIB’s active participation in support of social responsibility projects.
According to the evaluation of the CFI commission, Moldova Agroindbank works, applying principles of corporate responsibility through responsible governance and impact regulation of its activity on the Moldovan society.
“The bank supports Moldova’s development and helps different sectors and organizations, which are effectively fighting poverty. In particular MAIB invests in educational institutions and public health. The bank also supports a high corporate social responsibility program, aimed at developing skills and creating opportunities for young people. Thus, the MAIB aims to contribute to reducing the number of Moldovans who emigrate”, stated in the CFI publication.
Chairperson of the MAIB administration Sergey Cebotari noted that during 26 years of activity, the bank took on a lot of social obligations.
“MAIB financially supports culture, education, economy, local community events and in the future we will try to expand programs of social solidarity support. We are very glad that in recent years our actions increasingly attract attention at the international level. The CFI award is one more proof of our professional skills recognition and the bank’s participation in the country’s public life”, said Sergey Cebotari.
