EU TO IMPLEMENT TWO PROJECTS WORTH 5.5 MILLION EUROS IN MOLDOVA

Two new European Union projects will be launched in Moldova in the nearest time.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the total budget of the two projects is 5.5 million euros, while the goal is to support the republic in implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA).

The first project is designed for 24 months and is aimed at making tangible the results of these agreements and convince the Moldovan society and business community of their positive impact.

The second project will last 36 months. Its main goal is to raise infrastructure quality at the expense of harmonizing Moldovan standards and state structure, responsible for the quality of exported products, with European norms. Also project authors plan to raise competitiveness of private business in Moldova.

Deputy Premier, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Octavian Calmic promised every possible support in implementing projects, pointing at importance of the EU assistance in the process of Moldova’s European integration.
