NOVEMBER INFLATION IN MOLDOVA WAS TWICE LOWER THAN IN OCTOBER

Consumer price index accounted for 0.7% in November against 1.5% in October. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) the year to date inflation accounted for 6.8%, while since November 2015 till November 2016 - 7.3%.

NBS specialists say that the inflation was primarily due to seasonal growth of food products prices - on average by 1.1%. At the same time, non-food products went up in price - by 0.7%, while services - by 0.1%.

Infotag's dossier: In November 2016, the inflation was 1.2% in Moldova. The annual inflation accounted for 2.4%. For 2017, the National Bank of Moldova was initially forecasting inflation within 10.1%, but has revised it already several times, lowering it to 6.5% in November.
