ALMOST HALF OF SOCIAL FUND JANUARY REVENUES CAME FROM STATE BUDGET

Revenues to the National Social Insurance Fund (CNAS) exceeded 1,753 million lei (US$103.1 million) as of the beginning of February, which is 9.1% of the total sum planned for 2018. Against January 2017, the revenues grew 85.1 million lei.

According to the CNAS, the main share of revenues – 964.1 million (+25%) accounted for mandatory social insurance contributions.

Meanwhile, transfers from state budget fell to 788.7 million lei from 898 million. 468.7 million lei of these are designed for payment of social allowances and other payments, which are financed from the state budget, while 320 million – for covering the social fund deficit.

Social Fund budget revenues accounted for 1,527 million lei (+9.7%) over January and were 226.2 million lei lower than revenues.

Despite this, the CNAS states that it has in full and timely fulfilled all financial liabilities to beneficiaries and all the types of social payments.
