KFW AND DOEN FOUNDATION SELL THEIR SHARES IN MOLDOVAN PROCREDIT BANK

The transaction of selling 17.91% shares of the commercial ProCredit Bank was registered at the Moldovan Moldova Stock Exchange on Thursday.

According to the MSE administration, 72,833 shares were sold as a result of public proposal on the secondary market at the price of 1177.17 lei per each, while the total sum of the transaction exceeded 85.7 million lei.

However, it is not about new shareholders in the bank. The bank's largest shareholder - the ProCredit Holding from Germany, which owns 82.09% bank shares, bought the remaining stakes from the German Development Bank (KFW) and 3.81% from the Dutch fund DOEN Foundation and became sole owner of the bank. The ProCredit Bank is an international bank with 100% foreign capital and is functioning on the Moldovan market since December 2007. The bank is a part of international financial group ProCredit, which is conducting its activities in the Eastern Europe, Latin America and Germany.
