GOVERNMENT APPROVES "FIRST HOME" MORTGAGE PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYEES

The Government approved the annex to the governmental program "First Home", which implies the providing of compensation for a part of mortgage credit for civil servants.

All the employees of public agencies or institutions who have uninterruptedly worked for the state for at least a year without taking maternity leave or leave for nursing care are eligible for getting mortgage credit on preferential terms.

According to the annex to the program, the preferential terms represent the compensation by the state of 50% of the credit body, which is provided monthly during the entire term of credit. However, if the credit beneficiary repays it earlier, the compensations cease.

Unlike the ordinary "First Home" program, where the maximum sum of credit accounts for 900 thousand lei, the state compensation is provided only if the sum of credit does not exceed 600 thousand lei.

The document says that the state will compensate only the credit body, but not interest payments or other fees.

Other conditions remain unchanged: beneficiary should not be older than 45; the first contribution accounts for 10%; the term of credit - not more than 25 years; beneficiaries do not have personal housing or other mortgage credits.
