BANCA TRANSILVANIA GROUP GAINS 270 MILLION EUROS OVER 9 MONTHS

The revenues of the financial group Banca Transilvania over nine months of 2018 accounted for 1.24 billion of Romanian lei (270 million euros). This group owns two financial assets in Moldova - the country's first private bank Victoriabank and the BT-Leasing company.

According to the BT press release, the bank's net profit accounted for 979 million Romanian lei.

The cited document says that the BT group issued 550 thousand credits in January-September, 30 thousand of which account for companies and enterprises. Currently, the group has 3.2 million bank cards, whose share in the Romanian market is of 19%. Over 410 thousand cards are credit cards with 30% of transactions in the market.

The BT group finished 3Q2018 with assets worth 76.6 billion lei, 64.7 billion lei of which account for bank assets. The group credit portfolio reached 38.43 billion lei, while BT bank - 32.51 billion lei. Deposits accounted for 62.79 billion lei, 41.38 billion lei of which are physical persons' deposits and 21.41 billion lei - legal persons.

The rate of credit-deposit correlation in the BT accounted for 66% on October 1, 2018.

Given the integration in the BT of two financial institutions at once - Victoriabank and BancPost, the rate of overdue credits in the BT is of 5.74% according to the EBA [European Bank Association] classification.

Reserves covered 88% of overdue credits, while given the guarantees, this rate is of 119%. According to the EBA classification, the rate of BT paying capacity is 23.16% as of the end of 3Q2018.
