SOCIAL FUND REVENUES EXCEED EXPENDITURES BY 258 MILLION AS ON DECEMBER 1
As of December1, social fund revenues exceeded 17.695 billion lei (US$1.04 billion), which is 1.548 billion lei more, compared with the equivalent period of 2017.
According to the National Social Insurance Fund (CNAS), the bulk of revenues, i.e. 11.808 billion lei (+11.6%) accounted for mandatory social insurance contributions.
Transfers from state budget exceeded 5.814 billion lei including 4.726 billion lei (+3.7%) designed for payment of social allowances and other payments, which are financed from the state budget, according to the legislation; while 1.087 billion (+21%) designed for covering the social fund deficit.
Over 11 months, the social fund budget expenditures accounted for 17,437 billion lei (US$1.025 billion) against 16.073 billion a year ago.
