INFLATION IN MOLDOVA – 1.3% IN JANUARY

Prices in Moldova grew on average 1.3% in January, while year to date (since January 2018 through January 2019) – 2.2%.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the food products grew in price by on average 1.7%. Prices on non-food products grew by 1.5%, while services – only by 0.2%.

Infotag’s dossier: In 2018, the inflation in Moldova was 0.9%, including 0.4% in January. For 2019, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) expects the consumer price index within 4.9%, in 2020 – 5%.
