TAX REVENUES TO THE BUDGET GREW 9.2%

The revenues to the national budget exceeded 5.6 billion lei (US$327.4 million) as of the beginning of March, which is 473 million lei (9.2%) more than over the equivalent period of 2018.

According to the State Tax Service, most of agency contributions went to the state budget – 2.4 billion lei (+10.7%). The highest growth of contributions was registered to the medical insurance funds – 23.2% - to 705.2 million lei.

The revenues to the social fund grew 5.6%, accounting for 2 billion, while to local budgets – only 0.8% – to 516.3 million lei.

The tax bodies are one of the main sources of replenishing the state treasury. In January their deductions accounted for 1,301 million lei (US$76 million) – over 51% of all the revenues of the Moldovan state budget.
