TAX REVENUES TO BUDGET GREW BY ALMOST A BILLION

As of the beginning of July, tax revenues to the national budget exceeded 19.2 billion lei (over US$1 billion), which is 975.7 million lei or 5.4% more than over the equivalent period of 2018.

According to the State Tax Service, most agency revenues went to the state budget – 8.5 billion lei (+3.5%).

Revenues to the Social Insurance Fund increased by 5.3% up to 6.3 billion lei; revenues to the Health Insurance Fund by 19.5% – to 2.3 billion lei, and local budgets remained at the last year’s level 1.96 billion lei.

The tax bodies traditionally are one of the basic sources for replenishing the state treasury. Following the results of the first quarter of 2019, their deductions accounted for over 4.5 billion lei – almost half of all the revenues to the Moldova state budgets.
