JAPAN TO FUND BUYING MODERN EQUIPMENT FOR CHISINAU CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

The Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children #1 of Chisinau got the possibility to renew its medical equipment due to the financial assistance from the Japanese Government.

This is implied in a corresponding grant agreement on the project of modernizing the hospital medical equipment, signed on Tuesday by institution Director Stefan Calancea and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Moldova Masanobu Yoshii.

This is the 7th project, approved by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2019 for implementation in Moldova by means of the Kusanone grant program for human security. Within it, newest medical devices worth US$57.2 thousand were bought for the hospital.

The Kusanone program of grant assistance for human security was launched in Moldova in 2008. Since then, 64 projects in the field of education, healthcare, ecology worth over US$5.3 million have been implemented within its framework in Moldova.
