PGO’S RESPONSE ABOUT TURKISH TEACHERS IS A MOCKERY – PAS DEPUTY

16 january, 2020

MP Sergiu Litvinenco said the answer at his request on the expulsion of Turkish teachers he received from the Prosecutor General’s Office is a mockery.

He published in social networks the text of the document which says that the investigation is conducted on this case and charges were presented to responsible persons.

“The document has a partial answer to only one question. In general, my request to the PGO had much more details than their answer. The response says that most of materials cannot be presented due to data privacy, but the law says that MPs have access to the state secret”, Litvinenco wrote.

He said that due to this situation he saw there is no much difference in the work of the prosecution organs from the times of Harunjen and Stoianoglo [former and incumbent general prosecutors]. The MP wrote that he will direct a repeated request, maintaining that prosecutors are obliged to abide by the law.

Infotag’s dossier: On September 6, 2018 Moldovan intelligence services detained and deported to Turkey 7 teachers of the network of Moldovan-Turkish lyceums “Orizont”. This case caused resonance and criticism in civil society, while on June 11, the European Court of Human Rights issued the decision according to which Moldova violated the rights and freedoms of those Turkish citizens. Moldova has to pay 25 thousand euros to families of each of the 7 deported people.
