TWICE PER YEAR INDEXATION OF MINIMUM GUARANTEED INCOME

The minimum guaranteed income will be indexed twice a year - April 1 and October 1. This decision was made by the government at a meeting on Wednesday.

Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorika Dumbrevianu said that "the index coefficient on April 1 will be determined on the basis of the inflation rate recorded in the second half of the year preceding the indexation year, and on October 1 - on the inflation rate in the first half of the current year".

The indexation of the guaranteed minimum income twice a year comes into force on April 1, 2021. The coefficient will be determined by the government.
